Salaar Movie Postponed
Salaar, the much-awaited action film starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, has been postponed from its original release date of September 28, 2023. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame, is said to be a two-part saga with the first part titled Salaar- Part One: Ceasefire.

The reason for the delay is reportedly the quality of the visual effects, which need more time for post-production. According to a source quoted by Pinkville, “Salaar holds a prominent position among the big films emerging from India, and the makers are determined to meet the high expectations of fans and moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film is not yet ready and requires additional time for post-production. Consequently, Prabhas, Prashant Neel, and their team collectively agreed to postpone the movie from its original September 28 release date.”
According to the news reports, the reason for the postponement of Salaar movie is that the director Prashanth Neel is not satisfied with the quality of some crucial VFX shots and has sent them back to the VFX studio for a rework. This has caused a delay in the post-production process and the film’s release date has been pushed back to either December 2023 or January 2024.
